The Pong Agricultural Cooperative Limited
The Pong Agricultural Cooperative Limited located in Phayao Province, has been honored with the National Outstanding Cooperative Award for the Year 2025.
There are 3 Creative Projects that has been implemented continuously by the Pong Agricultural Cooperative Limited since 2004 and remains active to the present day (in 2025) as follow:
1st Project: Strengthening the Cooperative Leadership Network toward Resilience
This project focuses on building a network of cooperative leaders to play a crucial role in supporting the cooperative's operations. This includes coordinating and publicizing cooperative activities, as well as expediting and monitoring debt collection from members within their respective groups.
2nd Project: Outstanding Debt Repayment Performance Contest for Member Groups
This project involves organizing a competition among member groups for outstanding performance in expediting and monitoring debt collection from their members. Group leaders are responsible for monitoring members' debt repayments. The cooperative allocates cash prizes to group leaders who achieve a debt repayment rate of 80% or more, aiming to boost their morale for continued efforts.
3rd Project: Classifying Member Performance to Foster Capacity Building.
This project involves the annual evaluation of members' debtor classifications at the cooperative's fiscal year-end. The goal is to incentivize debt repayment, encourage participation in various activities, and reduce the burden of loan interest for cooperative members who demonstrate financial discipline and consistent participation in cooperative group meetings.
